Who are Cyberguides ?

The name is used by a group RSVP members who volunteer to teach other fellow seniors basic computer skills.

RSVP is the acronym for Retired and Senior  Volunteer Programme.  RSVP Singapore has its office at 75 Bukit Timah Road, #06-04 Boon Siew Building, Singapore 229833.  One of its many projects is Project Cyberguide, started in 1999.  Its main objective is to help seniors become IT literate.

Since 1999, Cyberguides have conducted many basic computer courses for seniors at various IT centres all free of charge.  More than one thousand seniors have benefited from this programme.

RSVP has its own It centre since November 2001 equipped with 24 computers and a multimedia projector.

Besides conducting courses for beginners, Cyberguides also run advanced courses such as Web Designing and PowerPoint. 

We also hold Saturday Practice Session on a regular basis, and RSVP members can come and practise the computer skills they have learnt.  There are also short courses conducted by cyberguides during the session for those who want to learn more.  Time: 2.00pm - 5.00pm
